We are looking for an experienced full-stack Software Engineer or Lead Software Engineer to join our Billing & Payments product teams. Our teams support Customer and Agent facing applications which enable critical billing and payment related functionality. These applications include both UI and API layers. If you want to work in a fast paced, creative environment and make a difference in the lives of our technology engineering community and customers by developing new functionality, moving applications to the Cloud, and support the overall resiliency of our applications, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

* Participate in the full software development cycle including coding, testing, implementation and support for both UI and API code.

* Leverage knowledge of AWS to assist in moving current applications to AWS and provide leadership to the team in this space.

* Utilize agile software development practices.

* Evaluate and apply emerging technology solutions to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

* Candidates for this position should be comfortable working in a collaborative environment, demonstrate initiative, and have learning agility.

* Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or equivalent work experience.

* 5 years of Software Engineering experience.

* Object oriented development experience and advanced knowledge of the Java coding language and experience with User-Interface (UI) and API layers.

* Strong JavaScript development experience, ideally with experience in one or more, React.js, Angular.js, Vue.js, etc.

* Advanced knowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) practices and tools (i.e., GitLab CI).

* 2 years experience developing and supporting applications in AWS.

* Experience/Knowledge with Terraform (or similar infrastructure as code software tools).

* Understanding of the Spring framework (e.g., Spring MVC/Spring Boot).

* Experience with microservices architecture, RESTful API development, integration and testing.

* Experience with UI languages such as JSTL, JSP, JQuery, CSS, HTML

* Strong understanding of Client-Server Architecture

* Strong experience with application development across multiple platforms.

* Experience in designing resilient technical solutions.

* Strong understanding of application engineering practices.

* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

* Ability to navigate the organization and collaborate across locations.

* Experience with billing & payment applications.

* Enthusiasm for innovation, diversity of thought, and new ideas.

* Resolves complex technical problems using a DevSecOps approach.

* Experience with customer-driven design and development.
