Job Summary

The Coordinator will assist the Nursing Program Director to develop, coordinate, assess, evaluate, and expand (as appropriate) the SCF Nursing Programs. Provides primary support in the development, coordination, and implementation of all functions, activities, and programs related to assessment and evaluation for all SCF Nursing Programs. Establish and maintain good working relationships with students, alumni, businesses, organizations, and SCF staff. This position calls for excellent skills in management as well as interpersonal communication, data analysis, and multitasking. Duties extend to three campuses.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Applicants may be asked to demonstrate any or all of the following duties:

  • Manages ExamSoft as the lead for implementation, training, troubleshooting, statistical analysis, and acts as the point of contact for faculty, administration, and the ExamSoft liaison.
  • Collects and analyzes data for SCF Nursing Programs for reporting to: SCF, the Nursing Advisory Board, the Florida Board of Nursing, the Florida Dept. of Education, the Florida Center for Nursing, and ACEN.
  • Collects and analyzes data to track student progression and to improve performance outcomes of SCF's Nursing Programs.
  • Assist the Directors with data organization and management for both the ASN and BSN SPEs.
  • Organizes and manages all SCF Nursing TEAMS accounts and maintains a directory.
  • Organizes and manages SCF Nursing Policy and Procedures and updates documents as directed by the Directors or the Dean.
  • Organizes and manages all test items in ExamSoft, applies item key words and categories, and collaborates with the Teaching Team Lead to improve item quality from a psychometric perspective.
  • Attends all SCF Nursing exam reviews, assist the team with item analysis, offers suggestions for exam quality (KR-20) improvement, and submits an item analysis report to the Director within 24 hours.
  • Reviews all exams prior to administration from a psychometric perspective to ensure that quality items are employed.
  • Manages all surveys according to the documented survey calendar, analyzes results, and shares the un-redacted results with the Dean, Nursing three weeks prior to the yearly Nursing Advisory Board meeting.
  • Co-chairs both the ASN and BSN Evaluation Committees.
  • Manages and maintains all SCF's Nursing Programs SPES and provides a yearly report to the Dean of Nursing detailing progress three weeks prior to the Nurse Advisory Board meeting.
  • Represents SCF Nursing when engaging with Institutional Research, collaborates with IR on nursing data, and provides IR with data and assessment reports as requested.
  • In collaboration with the Directors, manages the Project Concert evaluation/SPE module for both the ASN and BSN programs.
  • Manages the Lakewood Ranch Testing Tech and establishes their work schedule to efficiently coincide with ASN exams and TEAS testing.
  • In collaboration with the Directors, serves as the project manager for ACEN site visit reports and provides a monthly report of progress to the Directors and the Dean of Nursing.
  • Maintains the testing technology (iPads) with ExamSoft updates, confirms that all iPads are in working order and accounted for, and collaborates with SCFCS’s Apple platform specialist as well as SCF IT to keep 95% of the total number of iPads in working order 100% of the time.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

  • Education/Experience:
A Bachelor’s degree is required from a regionally accredited institution. 2-3 years’ program evaluation or data analysis experience in a community college or a university setting; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Supervisory Experience:
No supervisory experience required.
  • Language Ability:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Math Ability:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram/chart, or schedule form.
  • Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have intermediate knowledge of word processing software, spreadsheets, Internet, e-mail system, PowerPoint software, and basic knowledge of website maintenance. Must become efficient with current college database software and other college required software within one month of hire.

  • External Contacts:
This position has routine contact with prospective students, special interest groups, and community agencies. Frequent contact with parents, high school counselors and faculty, and vendors. Occasional contact with local businesses and industry.
