JOB SUMMARY DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE OF JOB

The Financial Analyst is responsible for analyzing and communicating financial performance of assigned business units and/or departments. Work with internal stakeholders on identifying and tracking meaningful KPIs for the business. Responsible for working with business owners on preparation and completion of annual budget and forecasts.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/RESULTS 

  • Finance business partner to leaders of assigned business units/departments
    • Lead budget/forecast processes – working with business owners to identify savings and investment opportunities
    • Ensure timely, accurate monthly financial results while providing operational analysis and variance explanations
    • Analyze actual vs. target variances on a monthly basis and partner with leadership on any recommended actions
    • Assist with various month-end close activities to ensure all anticipated expenses are accounted for
    • Develop detailed financial models and associated analysis with KPIs based on meaningful drivers to support decision making
    • Partner with leadership on the development of business cases for capital and program expansion

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Education, Certification and Experience Requirements

  • Education
    • 4-year degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
    • Masters' degree, and CMA helpful
  • Experience 
    • 0 to 3 years of related experience working in Finance/Accounting
    • Cost accounting in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Knowledge / Technical Requirements

  • Experience working with major ERP systems
  • Advanced in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Thorough knowledge of budgeting/forecasting processes

  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and initiatives at once
