Community Employment Specialist

(Job Coach)

Pay: $16.45 per hour

$1000 Hiring Bonus

Work Schedule: M-F 8:00am-4:30pm.

Summary of the Community Employment Specialist role:

This position is responsible for participating in the day to day operations of the Community Employment program. Additionally, they must provide training, supervision and safety for persons served in the Community Employment program.

Education Requirements for the Community Employment Specialist role:

High school diploma or general equivalent degree (GED) required. Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science degree in human services preferred.

Experience needed for the Community Employment Specialist role:

Two (2) years experience in programs serving persons with intellectual/developmental disabilities; effective written and oral communication skills; provide own transportation; possess valid driver's license; may be required to work flexible schedule that includes evening and weekend work. ASL (American Sign Language) preferred.


General Requirements:

Must be at least 18 years old, have a valid driver's license for at least 2 years, good driving record, Proof of education (HS diploma, GED, or work keys bronze certificate), able to pass drug & alcohol screenings and criminal background checks. Availability for 2-3 weeks of paid training, M-F 8:30am-5:00pm.
