Starkey is Hiring a SIOP Demand Planner Near Prairie, MN

Starkey Hearing is hiring a SIOP Demand Planner at its global headquarters in Eden Prairie, MN. The SIOP Demand Planner is responsible for managing the demand signals for assigned products to ensure organizational alignment. The position will partner with the Commercial and Supply Chain teams in the creation and management of the operational demand plan for Starkey by product type, model, and market in the suite of planning systems. This position will facilitate the SIOP process for assigned markets and products to gain consensus and ensure alignment in strategy between the demand, supply, and financial plans.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/RESULTS
Support and sustain the standard demand planning process and systems.

  • Maintain accurate demand plans through in-depth reporting and analysis.
  • Drive global forecast reporting and record demand changes and assumptions.
  • Perform the role of ‘super user’ in the demand planning tools able to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.

Ensure the organization produces an updated monthly demand plan and adherence to deadlines.

  • Ensure forecasts are in place that recognize all demand for products required in the planning horizon.
  • Ensure the assumptions and action plans behind the forecast are documented and agreed upon.
  • Assess and manage the impact of volume and/or mix changes to the demand plan to mitigate/minimize risk of creating trapped or obsolete material.

Assist in facilitation of demand review meetings for the market and provide the data and inputs for the global S&OP process

  • Pull all the inputs together for the demand review, critiquing the data prior to the meeting.
  • Influence and obtain consensus on the demand plan.
  • Establish accountability for the demand plan with sales and marketing and ensure plans are signed off on a monthly basis by the head of the local sales team.
  • Communicate the key assumptions and changes to the S&OP meetings.
  • Incorporate market intel and trends into the demand plan

Management of exceptions

  • Ensure that abnormal demand and market opportunities are effectively communicated and understood through the supply network.
  • Provide information through in-depth analysis to support decision making and the allocation of product when supply is constrained.
  • Other Duties/responsibilities assigned. 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

EducationBachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration or applicable experience.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain planning (Demand Planning, Supply Planning and S&OP) or applicable field.
  • Experience developing and managing supply chain metrics to monitor inventory levels and identify areas for improvement.
  • Experience with Supply Chain Planning systems.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word). Power BI experience a strong plus.
  • Proficient with Statistical Analysis.
  • APICS CPIM / CIRM, CSCP, Lean / Six Sigma, and/or PMP certifications a strong plus.

Knowledge / Technical Requirements

  • Business principles and techniques of administration and organization, including an in-depth understanding of the key business issues that exist in a global manufacturing and sales organization.
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning systems and technology to support supply chain functions. Understanding of systems use and configuration.
