Summary:
Provides direct and indirect nursing services for students with developmental disabilities. Utilizes the nursing process, nursing diagnoses, and nursing interventions and is accountable to the individual, family, caregivers, and peers for delivery of optimum care.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Communicates appropriate information, both verbal and written, diplomatically with students, parents and staff on all issues, including those which may be of a sensitive nature in order to ensure the continuity of care.
Communicates effectively with supervisor and multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Holds or immediately pursue CPR certification.
Registered Nurse (RN) with current Ohio license required.
Three to five years nursing, preferably with individuals with developmental disabilities.
