Star Nail International, a leader in the nail industry in the development and manufacturing of some of the most innovative professional products and services is looking for a Logistics Administrator. Location, Valencia, CA

Key responsibilities include:

· Obtain direction from Sales and Customer Support on shipping needs by sales order

· Prioritize and execute shipments in accordance with contractual agreements

· Negotiate transportation rates based on services needed

· Prepare shipping documentation necessary for each shipment

· QC preparation of shipment to ensure meets domestic or international requirements and shipping mode: ground, air, ocean

· Ensure shipment complies with dangerous goods requirements according to DOT, IATA, IMO. This includes labels on master cartons, pallets, shippers declarations documents, etc.

· Monitor product import or export processes to ensure compliance with regulatory or legal requirements.

· Work directly with Steamship lines/ Freight forwarders to coordinate shipments for Export, Foreign to foreign and Imports

· Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems or processes, such as customer sales, order management, accounting, or shipping.

· Maintain metrics, reports, process documentation, or training or safety records.

· Resolve issues concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports, or customer issues.

· Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems or processes, such as customer sales, order management, accounting, or shipping plan or implement improvements to internal or external logistics systems or processes.

· Train shipping department personnel in roles or responsibilities regarding global logistics strategies

· Pro-actively identify problems and swiftly implement the appropriate solution

· Other duties as assigned by leadership team

Qualifications:

· Familiar with handling and labeling dangerous goods, and completing dangerous goods documentation

· Experience in logistics sales or Freight Forwarder-contract negotiations

· Detailed-oriented with very good analytical and problem-solving skills

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Adaptable to a fast-paced environment

· Ability to work independently with a team

· Proficient in Microsoft Office
