Our exotic wildlife rescue facility is currently seeking an on-site, Part-Time Veterinarian to join our team and contribute to the health and welfare of the diverse wildlife under our care. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in veterinary medicine, with a focus on wildlife species. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, collaborating with a dedicated team of wildlife rehabilitators and veterinarians.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct medical examinations and provide veterinary care for injured, sick, and orphaned wildlife.
- Develop and implement treatment plans for various wildlife species.
- Perform surgical procedures as needed.
- Collaborate with the wildlife husbandry team to ensure proper husbandry practices.
- Provide guidance on nutrition, enrichment, and other aspects of wildlife health.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.
- Participate in educational programs and outreach events to promote wildlife conservation.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution.
- State veterinary license and USDA accreditation.
- Experience or strong interest in wildlife medicine.
- Strong surgical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to participate in after-hours emergency on-call schedule.
Schedule:
This is a part-time position, with flexible scheduling options. The veterinarian will be required to work at least 4 hours per week, with the potential for additional hours based on the needs of the facility.

Pay: $45.00 - $75.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 4 per week
