Star Choice Pediatrics is Hiring a Medical Office Assistant Near Elkridge, MD

Medical Office Assistant (Clerical/Administrative Support)

Job Details: The Medical Office Assistant in the pediatric practice provides the smooth flow of patients through the practice, proper disposition of telephone calls that are received by and originate from the practice and for the coordination of patient appointments and correspondence.

Schedule/Shift: Non-Exempt, Full Time, 40 hours per week, M-F between 8:00am to 6:00pm

Location: Elkridge, Maryland (in person at medical practice)

Education/Experience:

· High School Diploma/ GED.

· Two or more years pediatric primary care experience preferred.

· Experience with electronic medical records preferred.

· Experience and knowledge of insurances (commercial and Medicaid/medicare)

· Be a self-starter, hard-worker, and team player.

· Have a happy and positive demeanor as this position includes check-in and check-out for pediatric patients. (Welcoming personality)

· Ability to balance cash/credit card/checks daily

· Ability to multi-task answering phone calls and front desk.

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
