The Digital Merchandising and Marketing Specialist will play an integral part in shaping how we bring our Print products and services to life both in-store and online. Reporting to the Manager of Digital & Customer Experience, the Specialist will need to be a collaborative, trusted and results-oriented partner that cross-functional teams can rely on. They will focus on areas including competitive analysis, identifying trends, proofing marketing assets, coupon/promotional analysis, and more.

As a Specialist for Staples Print Services, you will have an opportunity to learn from and work closely with partners in eCommerce, Merchandising and Marketing.

Key Deliverables:

  • Manage the Print merchandising and marketing calendar submissions schedule, and provide recommendations for offer and product placement across all channels
  • Partner with Marketing and Analytics teams to present readouts on offer placement performance and provide recommendations
  • Maintain the marketing asset tracker as a tool for the broader team, but also present at group meetings to share what assets are in market
  • Work with merchants and eCommerce teams to optimize website content based on priorities or seasonality (i.e., homepage optimization, landing page refreshes, etc.).
  • Develop and maintain a monthly competition report which will provide insights into promotional and marketing trends, changes in online experiences, new products/services, and notable events or presentations
  • Collaborate with dedicated cross-functional teams on new strategic initiatives to help drive sales and margin growth
  • Monitor and report out on ongoing performance for initiatives relative to financial goals.
  • Support ad hoc requests for physical print samples needed including in store samples and photo shoots.
  • Work with Digital and Customer Experience Manager to identify merchandising and marketing opportunities.
Qualifications

Essential skills and experience:

  • 1-2 years’ experience in business or related field
  • Bachelor’s Degree recommended or relevant business experience
  • Organized, detail-oriented, proactive personality, ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work independently and execute across multiple groups
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills necessary
  • Skilled in Microsoft Suite

Preferred skills and experience:

  • Knowledge of Print Industry required
  • Previous employment in Staples Print Services preferred
