Position Overview

We are seeking a Credit Analyst to help us make informed credit decisions that balance growth opportunities for our business with sound risk management practices. In this role you will analyze financial and credit data on current and potential customers to ensure our credit lines are right sized for the current and future state of each relationship. This is a unique role to build robust credit processes for a dynamic, growing company.

This is a hybrid role based in the Seattle, WA area.

What You’ll Do

  • Review credit worthiness of new and existing accounts and make credit decisions based on payment trends and risk. Perform in-depth analysis of customer financial data as needed.
  • Closely monitor Accounts Receivable aging accounts and make recommendations to maximize collections, mitigate risks, and minimize exposure.
  • Maintain up to date and accurate credit/collection information on our customers. Determine root causes of reoccurring customer late payments and/or short payments and work with cross-functional partners on resolution.
  • Request credit insurance for higher risk accounts and manage the overall credit insurance program.
  • Support the processes for evaluating customer deductions, filing counterclaims, and releasing orders on hold.
  • Perform account reconciliations, post and apply payments, and build other reports and analyses as needed.

Who You Are

  • Effective verbal and written communicator, able to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Critical thinker with strong problem-prevention and problem-solving skills.
  • Entrepreneurial, flexible, comfortable with ambiguity, and excited about working in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in finance or accounting, including at least 2 years of experience assessing credit risk for businesses of various sizes.
  • Expert-level skills with Microsoft Excel and previous experience with Oracle or a similar ERP system.
  • Experience working with a US retailer and with international credit practices are a plus.

The base pay range for this position is for a successful candidate within the state listed. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on multiple factors, such as work location, job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, and experience.
