Standard Air & Lite is Hiring an Outside Sales/ Territory Manager Near Erie, PA

Standard Air & Lite Corporation, located in Pittsburgh, PA, has been a leading Heating & Air Conditioning Distributor since 1940 is seeking an energetic, outside sales leader with a desire to learn, grow, and be challenged within our organization. The company distributes Carrier residential and commercial equipment along with other brands and products which provide solutions to the industry. We provide equipment, parts, and supplies to independent HVAC companies that sell, deliver, and service these systems to residences and businesses within our territory.

Job Summary: Standard Air & Lite is seeking sales oriented and customer focused individuals to join our team. As a sales team member you will make a difference by providing our customers with much needed products and services that are applied across all segments of our market. 100% commission position. Identify positive features and advantages of our products and services over our competition. Assist our customers with design and application support. Your goal is to generate sales and create strong customer relationships by providing exceptional customer service. The Territory Manager is responsible to take incoming inquiries from existing customers and develop new leads, call on existing commercial customers to cross-sell them on equipment and services that meet their needs, develop and manage a database of qualified business and leads within his/her territory, make sales calls that lead to proposals and the purchases of all the products and services that Standard Air & Lite offers.

Nature and Scope: Works under the direction of the Residential Sales Manager with regular exercise of independent judgment as the Sales Representative. Interacts with internal customers, external clients, prospects, business partners, and suppliers to effectively achieve company stated goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Sales & Marketing

· Develops an annual forecast and goals for each product class for the assigned accounts and territory to advance the company’s mission and objectives.

· Plans and implements strategies to market Standard Air & Lite’s equipment offerings and services to new and existing customers.

· Prepares prospect e-mails and other marketing materials to reach out to HVAC Contractors to find new opportunities.

· Identifies the target markets by industry segments, geography and number of customers with the approval of the Sales Manager.

· Develops and maintains target database using the approved sources or websites in the approved target markets.

· Maintains customer contact database with the accounts that are assigned to ensure information is getting to the right people.

· Designs marketing letters to be sent to qualified prospects (incoming inquiries, existing customers and commercial customers) and obtains approval of the Sales Manager prior to their use.

· Follows up with the prospects within a short period of time, following e-mails or marketing materials. Identify the decision-makers and set appointments with the decision makers to gather information to provide job quotes and equipment offers.

· Grows year-over-year sales and gross margin results.

· Maintains a large base of qualified prospects through phone calls and personal visits.

· Coordinates and distributes Standard Air & Lite equipment and service proposals to clients.

· Responds promptly to needs and concerns of all customers and prospects.

· Sources and contacts decision makers to arrange meetings to sell and promote HVAC solutions, equipment, and services.

· Meets with the prospect decision maker and presents the proposal and asks for the business.

· Prepares contracts and processes / completes and follows the company’s onboarding process in providing appropriate paperwork, and registrations associated when creating a new customer.

· Completes required forms and reports back to inside support team with necessary information in order to develop a customer proposal.

· Demonstrates Standard Air & Lite’s equipment product offerings and service advantages.

· Offer support to all commercial and ductless products.

· If prospect is interested in a proposal later, agrees on the specific timing for the follow-up with the customer.

· Meets assigned expectations for profitability.

· Meets monthly and annual sales plans and goals to advance the company’s mission and objectives through the assigned accounts within the territory.

· Works cross-functionally with the product managers.

2. Professional Development

· Maintains active memberships in appropriate professional organizations and participates in continuing education with the approval of the Sales Manager.

· Participates in sales, business, and equipment product training as required by the Sales Manager.

· Maintains positive working relationships with all employees, management, clients, outsiders, owners, and staff.

· Follow up on quotes, to complete the sale.

· Maintain expert level of product knowledge and applications.

3. Customer Service

· Performs all other functions and other responsibilities as directed by the Sales Manager and assists office staff with customer service as needed to support business growth.

· Responsive to the customers’ needs and requests and provides support to the customer in a timely fashion.

· Serve as a host at dealer meetings, conferences, conventions, incentive trips, and other similar functions.

· Willingness to go the extra mile to deliver performance and results.

· Must have an attention to detail and ensure the pricing database, quotes, and manuals are up to date.

· Must demonstrate discretion, integrity, patience, management of stress and anger, and fair-mindedness consistent with all company policies and procedures.

· Ability to plan, organize and prioritize projects, tasks and daily work.

· Deals with outsiders on a regular basis on matters of importance.

· If an error were made, it would have a serious impact on the company and the client. It could put both the client and the company at risk and cause severe financial losses which can lead to job termination.

· Ability to work evenings and weekends based upon the prospect / customer requirements.
