Stamps Family Dentistry is Hiring a Certified Dental Assistant Near Newnan, GA

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with the dentist and dental team to provide exceptional patient care and support. This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for dental procedures
- Take dental x-rays
- Perform dental charting and maintain accurate patient records
- Provide chairside assistance during procedures, passing instruments and materials as needed
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions
- Perform basic laboratory tasks, such as pouring models and fabricating temporary crowns
- Maintain infection control protocols, including sterilizing instruments and disinfecting treatment rooms

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a dental assisting program preferred
- X-Ray certification required
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and equipment
- Proficiency in medical documentation and record keeping
- Familiarity with digital impressions is a plus
- Strong understanding of infection control protocols and HIPAA regulations
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic knowledge of anatomy is beneficial
- Familiarity with Open Dental is a plus
