Seeking a professional “people person” with hospitality/front desk experience for a private club in Stamford. This is a highly visible, front-of-the-house welcoming/meeting and greeting role with administrative components.

Responsibilities/Primary Functions:

-Welcome members and guests, provide direction, if needed, as appropriate.

-Actively engage, assist, and interact with club membership in person and by telephone.

-Primary functions include taking reservations for dining, club events and activities, fielding general questions and directing members to appropriate club departments, program leaders and resources.

-Response to all inquiries by phone or via email in a prompt, professional and courteous manner is a prerequisite for this role. Other responsibilities include creating menus in various programs, reservation sheets in Excel and generally assisting other Club departments. Ability to multi-task throughout the shift and prioritize responsibilities while following the Club’s daily schedule is important.

-Pleasant phone manner; adept at managing multiple incoming lines
-Intermediate Computer Skills, with a preference for experience using programs to create flyers, menus, and more.
-Ability to field and compose emails to membership
-Ability to multi-task and follow through on numerous tasks
-Prior experience in a private club setting is preferable, but not required
-Strong command of English, written and verbal (Spanish a plus, but not required)

Hours & Compensation: -Minimum of 12 hours per week; 1 weekend day and one mid-day or evening shift required plus occasional holiday coverage.
-Hourly salary commensurate with experience.
