We have opportunities for bright, enterprising, Electricians and Data Technicians from Level 1, with one or more years of service through Leads with five or more years of service Leads! This position requires that you be very responsible, take initiative, and possess excellent communication skills. These attributes are key to success with Staley, especially our Technicians in the field who must collaborate with managers and coworkers to coordinate work schedules, tools, and materials. Although the location of your home residence is not critical to the role, the positions will require that you travel. While out-of-town trips are often shorter in duration, our company moves very quickly, and you must be ready to dispatch as quickly. Our customer base requires that we be very flexible, so typical work shifts could include days, nights, weekends, and some holidays.

Responsibilities

Electrician Key Responsibilities

• Experience in commercial and retail environments
• Skilled in the installation, repair, and maintenance of all types of electrical system equipment and components
• Locating and diagnosing issues in the electrical system or equipment
• Working standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment
• Manage time, material, and people resources throughout project lifecycles.
• Manage work orders, signoffs, daily log/journal, and other project documentation.

Data Technician Key Responsibilities

• Design and install fiber and copper cable in retail/commercial settings.
• Terminate copper and fiber optic cabling.
• Identify circuits and connect to network equipment.
• Configure network addresses.
• Test cable and ensure accuracy of cable testing, documentation, and storage.
• Test, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with cable faults.
• Terminate and dress communications closets according to BICSI standards.
• Perform cabling and PBX/phone Moves, Adds or Changes (MAC)
• Perform troubleshooting of network hardware and implement appropriate solutions.
• Manage time, material, and people resources throughout project lifecycles.
• Manage work orders, signoffs, daily log/journal, and other project documentation.

Electrician Qualifications

• Electrical license preferred.
• Knowledge of the tools, equipment, and materials common to the electrical trade.
• Knowledge of applicable electrical codes, standards, and regulations
• 4 years of electrical experience preferred.

Data Technician Qualifications

• Must have at least one year of experience and an aptitude for computer technology and working with your hands.
• Desired qualifications include three years’ industry experience.
• BISCI or other industry certifications strongly preferred.

Qualifications for Electricians and Data Technicians

• PC proficiency, Microsoft office applications
• Ability to travel, often extensively and sometimes with little notice.
• Flexibility to work the hours of the traditional second and third shifts.
• Must demonstrate the highest standards of ethics and integrity.
• Strong client/people relationship skills
• Must have relatively clean and valid driver’s license
• Meet company standards for pre-employment background check and drug screening.
• Typical physical demands include frequent work on lifts, ladders, and possibly rooftops and other harder-to-access areas.
• Must be able to clearly communicate verbally and in writing with employees and/or clients; manual dexterity required for frequent reaching, climbing, and lifting of objects (typically up to 50 lbs.), and operating power tools.
• Must have industry standard hand tools.
