Responsibilities

  • Preparation and coordination of all SEC filings, including but not limited to original preparation of MD&A and Statement of Cash Flow and review of all other Statements and Footnotes
  • Provide technical accounting research and analysis, providing accounting treatment for broad transactions and preparation of accounting policies and memorandums
  • Preparation and review of quarterly and monthly close workpapers and analysis for input into the financial statements, including but not limited to Deferred acquisition consideration, Leases – ASC 842, Stock-based compensation – ASC 718, Noncontrolling and redeemable noncontrolling interest, Employee stock purchase program, Balance sheet rollforwards, Income Statement analytics, Currency translation adjustments, and Foreign currency analysis 
  • Provide guidance on technical accounting requests and questions from subsidiary CFOs and Controllers
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors to provide audit deliverables as needed and ensure compliance with internal controls
  • Assist in monitoring and ensuring timely identification and compliance with evolving accounting and SEC guidance, provide US GAAP interpretation and prepare technical memoranda
  • Participate in SOX 404 controls walkthroughs and provide support in SOX testing co-ordination
  • Maintain internal controls for reporting processes and SEC filings
  • Lead/participate in special projects and accounting transactional items as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree; CPA required
  • 8 years professional experience; prior audit experience and public accounting background required
  • In depth knowledge and experience with US GAAP and the Accounting Standards Codification
  • Knowledge/experience with internal controls (SOX 404)
  • Microsoft Excel skills, with the ability to manipulate data
  • Excellent project and people management skills
  • Excellent communications & interpersonal skills to work with all levels of personnel, including Executive Management
  • Excellent writing skills and experience writing technical accounting memoranda
  • Excellent time and self-management skills

In order to comply with equal pay and salary transparency laws in various locations, we believe the target range of base compensation in New York City for this role is $148,000 - $185,000. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location.
