What You Will Do:
As the Epidemiologist Manager, you will conduct research, analyze data, and provide insights to support public health initiatives and disease prevention strategies. You will oversee epidemiological studies, manage research projects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to address public health challenges. This role requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and expertise in epidemiological methodologies.
Appraisal of Literature:
  • Conduct literature review to assess existing research studies, articles, and publications related to a specific topic in epidemiology.
  • Evaluate the quality, relevance, and reliability of literature sources to inform research methodologies and findings.
Real World Data Analysis and Interpretation:
  • Analyze real-world data sources, such as electronic health records, administrative databases, and disease registries, to identify patterns, trends, and risk factors associated with disease occurrence and outcomes.
  • Apply statistical methods and epidemiological techniques to analyze large-scale datasets and draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Conduct statistical analyses of epidemiological data to identify trends, patterns, and risk factors related to disease occurrence and transmission.
  • Interpret research findings and communicate key insights to stakeholders, including public health officials, policymakers, and healthcare professionals.
Evidence-Based Practice:
  • Apply evidence-based principles to inform public health interventions, healthcare policies, and clinical decision-making.
  • Synthesize epidemiological evidence from research studies, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses to guide evidence-based practice in healthcare settings.
  • Research Planning, Execution, and Collaboration:
  • Develop research plans and methodologies for epidemiological studies, ensuring alignment with project objectives and scientific standards.
  • Oversee the execution of research projects, including data collection, analysis, interpretation, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal and external research partners, including academia, healthcare institutions, and research organizations, to advance epidemiological research and knowledge.
Systematic Literature Reviews:
  • Analyze real-world data sources, such as electronic health records, administrative databases, and disease registries, to identify patterns, trends, and risk factors associated with disease occurrence and outcomes.
  • Apply statistical methods and epidemiological techniques to analyze large-scale datasets and draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Implement quality assurance measures to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and validity of epidemiological data and research findings.
  • Adhere to ethical guidelines and regulatory requirements governing epidemiological research.
Reporting and Communication:
  • Prepare and present research findings, reports, and scientific publications for internal and external audiences.
  • Communicate epidemiological findings effectively to diverse stakeholders, including scientific communities, policymakers, and the general public.

Who You Are:
  • Ph.D. or equivalent in epidemiology or related health science field and experience in the health care environment. Alternatively, an MSc or MPH with significant experience in the health care environment or an equivalent qualification will also be considered.
  • 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry or epidemiological research, with a focus on public health surveillance, outbreak investigations, and disease prevention.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage research projects, including budgeting, timeline management, and resource allocation.
