Job Title: Senior Project Manager - Heavy Civil Infrastructure

Location: Port Arthur, TX (Relocation assistance available!)

Job Description:

As a Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing a USACE levee construction project to ensure its successful execution within budget and schedule, in alignment with owner expectations, contract specifications, and company standards. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing all facets of the project, encompassing construction, budget, and cash management to ensure compliance with the project contract and owner requirements.
  • Developing and maintaining the project schedule, pay estimates, procedures, staffing requirements, and equipment resources to achieve accurate and timely project completion.
  • Collaborating with project stakeholders to resolve specification, contract, and scheduling issues.
  • Leading engineering and scheduling teams to identify and negotiate proposed change orders.
  • Creating and delivering monthly cost and revenue forecasts and reports to leadership.
  • Maintaining relationships with internal departments, project owners, and third-party stakeholders.
  • Overseeing project safety reviews and procedures, ensuring adherence to safety programs.
  • Participating in dispute resolution processes with support from internal legal counsel.
  • Providing input on equipment procurement methods and contracts.
  • Leading project closeout procedures, including finalizing contract paperwork and resolving project claims.
  • Upholding company values and strategic objectives.

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in heavy civil construction project management, preferably in personnel management
  • USACE (U.S. Army Corps of Engineers) experience a plus but not required
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Procore
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to cultivate positive relationships.
  • Developed skills in identifying, tracking, and managing project risks.
  • Ability to manage multiple departments and direct reports effectively.
  • Aptitude for identifying growth opportunities and coaching project personnel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
