Position: IT Operations Engineer

Job Type: Contract to Hire

Location: Columbus, OH, Hybrid, 2 days a week

Description:

The IT Operations Engineer will assist the Infrastructure Team in designing and maintaining all Physical/Virtual servers and the applications that are housed on them. This position also offers growth into a management position over a small team.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical and operational support for server infrastructure
• Assist in transitioning acquired companies’ server infrastructure
• Troubleshoot and resolve server issues, coordinating with other teams
• Interface with internal and external customers and vendors
• Review system designs and make recommendations for improvements
• Create and update server documentation and processes
• Share knowledge with colleagues
• Track daily work in the ticketing system

Experience and Skills:

• Systems management (Antivirus, Monitoring software, Web Servers, Backup and Recovery)
• Server Hardware/Storage, SANs
• Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, etc.)
• Active Directory, Exchange, SQL, Windows OS (Linux a plus)
• Monitoring Tools (e.g., SolarWinds) and RMM Tools
• Core infrastructure services (Active Directory, Group Policy, DFS)

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour
