Job Title: Mental Health Therapist (Mentor for Psych NP Students)

Location: Remote, we hire for different states - CA, AZ,NV, FL, NJ, TX, IL, MN, WI, MA and others!

Contract: 1099 Remote

Description: The therapist will mentor and guide Psych NP students in their therapy rotations to help demonstrate the therapist's role. The therapist will be responsible for providing quality feedback, answering questions related to clinical practice, and providing support and resources as needed. PMHNP students are NOT "learning how to become therapists." They are learning how therapists care for patients. After graduation, PMHNPs and therapists often have an important collaborative relationship with patients.

Qualifications:

- At least 1 year of experience in clinical practice with a current and valid license in the state where he/she will practice.

- Excellent communication skills

- Master's degree or higher as a fully licensed therapist. Ability to build rapport with students and patients. Willing to allow students to observe and/or participate in patient sessions. Participation can be observation only, or the therapist can allow students to interact with patients as students progress in their skills.

- Sessions can be in-person or virtual via a HIPAA-compliant platform. If in-person, sessions will be held in the therapist's practice.

- Availability to commit to precept the student for the agreed-upon rotation timeframe. Rotations are generally between 45-160 hours, depending on the school's requirements. Students generally participate 1-3 times a week, depending on a mutually agreed-upon schedule.

Honorarium: Set by the therapist but is generally $1000, depending on the hours required.
