Pay Rate: $18 - $22 / hour

Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Counselor to join our team. As a Residential Counselor, you will be responsible for providing direct care and support to residents, promoting their well-being, and assisting them in their daily activities. You will play a crucial role in creating a supportive and therapeutic environment, fostering positive relationships, and helping residents develop essential life skills.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct care and support to residents, ensuring their safety, well-being, and comfort.
Assist residents in daily activities, such as meal planning and preparation, personal hygiene, medication management, and household chores.
Foster a therapeutic and supportive environment by establishing positive relationships with residents, promoting open communication, and encouraging their active participation in their treatment plans.
Implement and monitor individualized treatment plans, ensuring that goals and objectives are met.
Facilitate group activities and therapy sessions, promoting socialization, skill-building, and emotional well-being.
Observe and document resident behavior, progress, and any changes in mental or physical health, adhering to confidentiality and privacy policies.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, including therapists, nurses, and psychiatrists, to ensure effective communication and coordination of care.
Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques when necessary, following established protocols and guidelines.
Attend training sessions, workshops, and team meetings to enhance knowledge and skills in providing quality care.
Adhere to all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures, including health and safety guidelines.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma and or a Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or a related field is preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Previous experience working in a residential setting or with individuals with mental health challenges is preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish meaningful relationships with residents.
Compassionate and patient nature, with a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
Ability to adapt to changing needs and situations, while maintaining professionalism and composure.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to handle challenging situations effectively.
Basic computer skills and proficiency in documenting and maintaining accurate records.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation, as some travel may be required.
