Secure our Nation, Ignite your Future The TDL Manager III manages the cost, schedule, and performance of medium- to high-complexity Technical Direction Letter (TDL) projects to develop and deliver digital transformation, modernization, and modifications. They provide recommendations, status briefings, and other formal and informal feedback to management on all project aspects. They plan, organize, and coordinate activities with Functional Specialists, including contracting, engineering, program control, configuration and data management, test, and logistics operations support. They develop, execute, and monitor risk management strategies to address areas of concern or potential gaps, and apply systems engineering principles, techniques, services, and practices for a disciplined approach to meeting Maverick TDL projects. They coordinate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize critical technical data for inclusion in TDL planning to support Mission Essential Service Planning (MESP) requirements, establishing processes for accessing, updating, and distributing technical direction as required by the MESP. They support system planning and market analysis and provide technical subject matter expertise on engineering documents in the Program, Project, and Systems Engineering Management Plans. This includes reviewing documents, conducting assessments, and providing briefings. They support program-level review boards, including Engineering, Configuration, Risk, and Test Review Boards. They give project status reviews and presentations to accountable sponsors and project governance meetings. The TDL Manager III provides technical risk assessments, mitigation strategies, and options to improve program integration. The TDL Manager III reports to the Regional Site Manager, monitors project work quality, and supervises and mentors subordinates. The TDL Manager III is a senior-level role with overarching responsibilities for digital transformation efforts. Minimum Qualifications 9 years of experience Bachelors Degree in related discipline (candidate holding a relevant Master’s degree may be granted 2 years’ experience credit for that extra education. A candidate holding a relevant PhD degree may be granted 4 years’ experience credit) High School Diploma 13 years of experience will also be considered Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility Desired Qualifications 5 years of position-specific relevant experience Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification Physical Requirements: Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer Frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs For all positions requiring access to technology/software source code that is subject to export control laws, employment with the company is contingent on either verifying U.S.-person status or obtaining any necessary license.
