Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Network Engineer I to join our team in Glen Burnie, MD. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: The Network Engineer I assists in the design, implementation, and maintenance of computer networks within an organization, working under the guidance of senior engineers to support the organization's network infrastructure. They assist in the configuration, installation, and maintenance of network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points. They troubleshoot network issues, analyze logs and implement corrective actions to ensure smooth network operation. They assist in implementing and maintaining network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls. Assist in monitoring network security events, analyzing vulnerabilities, and implementing appropriate security patches and updates. They collaborate with other IT teams, such as system administrators, database administrators, and security teams, to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of the network infrastructure. They assist senior engineers in the planning and execution of network-related projects, such as network upgrades, migrations, or expansions. This may involve assisting in project documentation, testing, and implementation. The Network Engineer I takes direction from more senior personnel. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in an IT- related discipline and 0-2 years of position specific relevant experience Must be a United States Citizen Physical Requirement: Must be able to be in a stationary position for more than 50% of the time. Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. For all positions requiring access to technology/software source code that is subject to export control laws, employment with the company is contingent on either verifying U.S.-person status or obtaining any necessary license.
