Duties:

The following duties are typical for this position. Employees may not perform all of the listed duties and/or may be required to perform additional or different duties from those set forth below to address business needs and changing business practices.

This position will involve a range of responsibilities, including but not limited to the following.

• Performing light mechanical duties such as oil changes and filter changes on various vineyard equipment and vehicles.
• Operating and maintaining tractors for vineyard tasks such as mowing and spraying.
• Operating zero-turn mowers for lawn maintenance around the vineyard facilities.
• Performing grounds keeping duties such as mowing, weed trimming, and applying chemicals for weed and pest control.
• Basic electrical work, such as wiring repairs and installation of fixtures.
• Basic plumbing tasks, including pipe repairs and fixture installation.
• Maintenance and repair of irrigation systems within the vineyard, including installation of new systems as needed.

Qualifications and Experience

The following generally describes the knowledge and ability required to enter the job and/or be learned within a short period of time in order to successfully perform the assigned duties.

Requirements:

• Prior experience in vineyard maintenance, mechanical work, or similar field is preferred.
• Proficiency in operating tractors and other vineyard equipment.
• Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
• Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks that may require lifting, bending, and prolonged periods of standing or walking.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Additional Qualifications (Preferred but Not Required):

• Certification or training in mechanical or electrical work.
• Experience with welding or fabrication.
• Knowledge of vineyard irrigation systems and water management, including maintenance and installation.
• Familiarity with basic carpentry and construction techniques.
