St. Pius V is seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic and confident Middle School Science Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year.

Located in the Pilsen neighborhood, St. Pius V is in a great location for public transportation commuters (Pink Line, Ashland bus).
Position Summary
The position will consist of instructing grades 5 to 8 Science and one section of homeroom, with a high percentage of English Language Learners. The ideal candidate should feel comfortable working with students from other language backgrounds and feel confident teaching foundational skills in reading and writing.
The successful candidate should pride themselves on creating supportive and loving environments that foster growth and curiosity in middle school-aged children. They must have the skills to clearly and creatively implement a rigorous mathematics curriculum and activities.They are confident teaching foundational skills in reading and math guiding children as they develop the necessary skills to smoothly transition into more structured schooling. Primary educators should be warm and energetic with a teaching method that encourages harmony and communication among children. Recent graduates and new teachers are encouraged to apply.
Qualifications
· Minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required
· Valid state teaching licensure (we accept out-of-state teaching licenses)
