Position Title: Temporary Lutheran Center Coordinator of Programs and Administration
Department: The Lutheran Center for Faith, Values, and Community
Reports To: Director of Programming, Engagement, and Innovation for Congregational Thriving
Classification: Non-Exempt
Essential Job Duties:
1. Assist with planning and overseeing the implementation of programs and resources for congregations, clergy, lay leaders, and other constituencies of the Lutheran Center, including the Conference on Worship, Theology, and the Arts, digital workshops, consultations, and other educational opportunities.
2. Support Effective Management of Grants-Related Budgets
3. Supervise support staff
4. Support, respect, and commit to embracing diverse backgrounds, values, and points of view to build a strong and inclusive community
5. Complete and meet deadlines for required training and performance management cycle
6. Perform other duties as assigned
Work Schedule:
Term: Temporary
Shift: This temporary position begins May 10 with an average of 3-4 hours per week through June 9; 30-40 hours per week beginning June 10 through September 13; and 10 hours per week through September 30. The standard 40-hour work schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm; variations to this schedule (for FTE less than 1.0), and flexible work arrangements (including regular remote work) can be arranged, subject to approval by HR and relevant supervisors. In late July, the position will require primarily on-campus work, including evenings and weekend work with the potential for overtime, providing administrative support for an on-site St. Olaf conference.
Required Qualifications:
Education: Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience; Maintain a valid driver’s license and meet St. Olaf College driver authorization criteria with a satisfactory driving record
Experience: 2 years of experience in events planning, project coordination, or other relevant responsibilities
Preferred Qualifications:
Education: Associates degree or equivalent work experience
Experience: 3 years of experience in events planning. Experience in higher education, public schools, or community organization.
Prerequisites:
Employment in this position is conditioned upon successful completion of a background check, which may include criminal background checks, reference checks, verification of work history, verification of any required academic credentials, licenses, and/or certifications, a motor vehicle check, verification of a DOT certification, a credit check, employment eligibility verification, and/or a pre-employment physical.
