St. Mary's Annapolis Parish is Hiring a Facilities Maintenance Technician (NE) Near Annapolis, MD
St. Mary's Parish, located in Annapolis, Maryland, seeks qualified candidates for a full-time Facilities Maintenance Technician. Under general direction of the Facilities Manager, this position will oversee the maintenance of the building. This includes the primary fields of electrical; heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC); carpentry, plumbing, etc. This is a full-time, benefit eligible position. Some overtime may be required.
Essential Functions:
- Performs basic and routine maintenance, construction, and repair tasks according to service, quality, and safety standards.
- Assist with miscellaneous facility projects, including painting, drywall, carpentry, installation of fixtures and moving furniture or materials within the facilities.
Position Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Must possess a valid driver's license with no more than three current points.
- A minimum of 5 years of commercial or institutional experience in the identified primary field.
- Possession of journey-level certification.
- Must be able to move furniture, equipment and other materials weighting up to and more than 100 pounds; to move about within very tight spaces where large and potentially dangerous equipment is stored; to operate various types of manual and power tools and automated systems; and to ascend/descend a ladder as needed.
