St Mary Catholic Schools is Hiring a 1st Grade Teacher Near Sherman, TX

Job Summary:

Join the vibrant team at St. Mary’s Catholic School and contribute to our mission of academic excellence, spiritual growth, and character development. We are seeking a passionate Lower Elementary Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. The ideal candidate will foster a supportive learning environment rooted in Catholic values and deliver engaging instruction to our diverse student body.

Responsibilities:

  • Uphold the philosophy of Catholic education and embody the teachings of the Catholic Church.
  • Provide standards-based instruction across all subjects, including religion.
  • Implement differentiated teaching methods to support students with diverse learning needs.
  • Utilize various instructional strategies, resources, and technology to enhance student engagement.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to infuse Catholic values into the curriculum.
  • Foster an inclusive classroom environment conducive to academic and spiritual growth.
  • Maintain regular communication with parents regarding student progress and achievements.
  • Participate in professional development activities and contribute to instructional improvement efforts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education or a related field.
  • Valid elementary teaching certification in the state of Texas.
  • Previous experience teaching at the elementary level, preferably in a Catholic school setting.
  • Strong understanding of elementary content, pedagogy, and instructional strategies.
  • Ability to effectively differentiate instruction for diverse learners.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to Catholic education and the mission of St. Mary’s Catholic School.

Salary and Benefits:

Salary will be determined based on experience and qualifications. St. Mary’s Catholic School offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings, professional development opportunities, and a supportive work environment.
