The Resident Services Manager supports the Administrator in oversight of the facility and serves as an ambassador to the assisted living programs.
Primary Responsibilities
All employees of St. Martin’s in the Pines are expected to maintain strict confidentiality, ensure compliance with policies and procedures, and uphold the safety and well-being of our residents. Employees are expected to demonstrate an appreciation of the heritage, values, and wisdom of the residents as well as the aging process. In particular, the Resident Services Manager:
1. Supervises, counsels and evaluates Caregivers2. Prepares Caregivers’ daily work assignments, ensuring that work is distributed in an efficient and equitable manner3. Conducts daily care plan meetings at the change of shifts4. Supervises, counsels and evaluates the LPN’s and the medicine pass process as applicable. 5. Manages all areas of the Medication Room.6. Updates/coordinates care plans with Unit Coordinator/Administrator7. Maintains schedules for visiting physicians and coordinates appointments for elders8. Identifies needed in-services and coordinates their programming with the Unit Coordinator/Administrator.9. Provides for or oversees the nursing treatments provided in the facility10. Oversees the daily census and ensures its accuracy11. Works with Administrator to ensure payroll is accurate12. Oversees day to day operation of the unit to ensure functions are carried out to meet the needs of elders in compliance with individual care plans13. Oversees and assists in calls to doctors in reference to orders, pharmacy, diets, review test results and follow ups as necessary.14. Reviews physician’s orders with Medication Administration Records monthly; oversees match back of med carts to MARS weekly, reviews monthly ADL orders for accuracy.
Secondary Responsibilities:
1. Maintains Administrators II License through Board of Examiners for Assisted Living Administrators for the State of Alabama2. Prepares weekly work schedules for Caregivers and LPN’s3. Assists with tours and Marketing calls as needed4. Performs other duties as assigned
1. Nursing license; ALF RN/LPN – SCALF RN2. Experience in a position working in a medical office environment using medical terminology3. Demonstrated ability to make independent decisions when circumstances have warranted4. Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate the assisted living program philosophy and goals5. Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to relate successfully with a variety of people and customer needs.6. Demonstrated initiative, judgment and leadership skills7. Must successfully complete DETA Brain Series, First Aid Training and CPR8. Current license in good standing with the State of Alabama9. Minimum two years’ experience as a supervisor in a health care setting10. Experience as a charge nurse in a nursing facility or supervisor of nursing in an assisted living.
