Summer Camp Assistant Teacher Position - $15-$17/Hr. depending on experience

Hours 7:00am-3:00pm Monday - Friday

May 28th - July 26th

St. Mark’s Montessori School is located near Nob Hill and UNM campus. We provide an enriching learning environment for our students and employ professional individuals to care for our students. We support our guides and teachers through flexible scheduling and support in academic pursuits.

A good candidate would be someone who has previous experience working with young children as well as someone who is creative, constructive, and willing to take direction and take lead equally. We are looking for someone who is reliable, responsible, and enjoys working with children. As an assistant, your responsibilities would be as follows:

· Help the lead teacher prep activities and the classroom

· Help students with self-care and emotional regulation

· Be willing to help all age groups depending on need

· Help sanitize high-touch areas of the classroom

· Be respectful and helpful towards all staff and students

· Be ready to acquire new skills to better yourself and the classroom

· Be communicative and reliable

Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Able to pass a background check

18 years of age or older

Preferences:

45 Hour Course

1 year experience working with young children

Montessori experience (either attending as a student or serving as a teacher)
