St Mark Catholic Church Independence is Hiring a Finance Coordinator 2024 Near Independence, MO

Description

Responsible for the administration of the financial affairs of the parish. Manages the preparation of financial reports and statements. Reports to the Business/Operations Manager. Must utilize accounting computer program to process and keep records.

Full Time 30-40 hours per week with benefits.

Requirements

Responsibilities and duties:

  • Maintains bookkeeping records for the parish including accounts payable, general ledger and payroll.
  • Prepares monthly financial reports for the Business/Operations Manager.
  • Reviews the cash position with the Business/Operations Manager on a monthly basis or more frequently, when needed.
  • Data Entry to include but not limited to contribution records to parishioner's records, prepare reports for Business/Operations Manager

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledgeable in budgeting, general ledger, accounts payable, payroll, and financial reporting.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills – highly collaborative and an effective team member.
  • Strong organizational skills, detail oriented and precise.
  • Handles confidential information with integrity.
  • Maintains a courteous and professional demeanor as a representative of the Parish.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in accounting or equivalent experience.
  • Three to five years’ experience in accounting or closely related field.
  • Three to five years’ experience in Non-Profit accounting is preferred, but not required.
  • Intermediate to Advanced skill in accounting software systems

Requirements:

  • Practicing Catholic in good standing is preferred, but not required.
  • All employees are required to consent to a background check, commit to our Code of Conduct policy, and complete online and in-person trainings prior to hire.
