Position Title
Athletics Department Bus Driver - Part-Time
Overview
5 feet wide, 39.5 feet long and 11.5 high. Full cab - driver and co-pilot. Max 36 passengers with back storage area (outside access) plus driver & co-pilot.
Job Responsibilities
Transporting sports teams and students to off-campus events and practices from mid August thru end of May; hours per week will vary during playing seasons.
Additional hours over the summer for other campus events.
Must be able to adapt to a flexible schedule; hours and days will vary depending on athletic schedules; nights and weekends are required.
Ability to work with google documents, check and respond to e-mail and phone calls. Training on google docs will be provided
Must keep written log of activity
Education / Experience
- High School graduate
- Clean driving record
- Must know basic vehicle and traffic laws
Competencies / Skills
Class B CDL Driver Requirements :
- Clean Class B License with air brakes, Passenger endorsements
- Familiar with DOT rules and requirements. Ability to read basic instructions, road signs and maps, and be able to keep a written log of activity.
- Strong customer service abilities with emphasis on customer satisfaction
- Strong organizational & Time management skills
- Positive attitude with a Professional appearance
- Willingness to learn and be coached as needed

Work Environment
Transporting student athletes and staff to and from St John Fisher University to competition and practice or event venues.
Bus : Embassy 395 Freightliner M-2 bus 8.5 feet wide, 39.5 feet long and 11.5 high. Full cab - driver and co-pilot. Max 36 passengers with back storage area (outside access).
Equipment to be Used
Bus : Embassy 395 Freightliner M-2 bus 8.5 feet wide, 39.5 feet long and 11.5 high. Full cab - driver and co-pilot. Max 36 passengers with back storage area (outside access).
GPS unit to determine best route to destination provided on itinerary.
Work Hours
Mid August thru end of May; hours per week will vary during playing seasons based on driver availability and travel needs.
Additional hours in the summer as needed
Must be able to adapt to a flexible schedule; hours and days will vary depending on athletic schedules; nights and weekends are required.
