St. Coletta’s of Illinios is seeking a Grants Manager who will identify and apply for various grants that meet the organization’s needs, oversee the grant application process from beginning to end.
The Grants Manager is responsible for maintaining and growing the organization’s governmental, foundation and corporate partners. This role oversees all proposals submitted to grantmaking bodies, ensures timely reporting, and works directly with program staff to recognize and support the expansions and innovations in St. Coletta’s programming. The Grants Manager helps the organization raise over $2,000,000 annually. The individual has regular communication with all of St. Coletta’s programs, and serves as an external liaison to a network of people eager to create lasting, positive change for people with developmental disabilities. The Grants Manager must be mission driven.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with the leadership team to develop and implement the organization’s strategy for grantmaking organizations. This includes all proposal and report writing, prospecting new foundation and corporate partners, and governmental grant opportunities as well as cultivation and stewardship of foundation and corporate partners.
• Works closely with St. Coletta’s Program Staff to convey the importance of the progression toward program goals, and overall impact of the mission of helping people with developmental disabilities reach their highest level of independence.
• Evaluates funders’ guidelines and interests, analyzing relevant organization needs with funders’ criteria and information.
• Completes and submits grant proposals and Lol’s that align with the funders guidelines, ensuring that the proposal is formatted, packaged, and submitted in accordance with granting agency requirements
• Maintains complete electronic and hard-copy files on all grants and supporting documentation
• Coordinates and oversees data collection toward grant outputs, outcomes, and overall goals.
• Establishes and maintains the organization’s grant tracker.
• Coordinates the efforts of any contracted individuals or fundraising staff who are working on grant proposals.
• Represents St. Coletta’s of Illinois in meetings with various stakeholders.
• Assists the Development Department in its fundraising efforts.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years’ experience as a successful grant professional
• Very strong written and oral communication skills
• A college degree in the humanities and/or relevant experience communications or storytelling
• Highly developed interpersonal and presentation skills
• Demonstrated ability to juggle priorities and meet deadlines
• An automobile and valid Driver’s License
• Most importantly, a commitment to bettering the lives of people with developmental disabilities

Qualifications Preferred, But Not Required

• Background in creative writing
• Front-line experience in the service industry
• Vaccinated against COVID-19

• Salary: $50,000-$70,000 annually
