Job Description
You must already be Louisiana P.O.S.T. certified and have at least one year of Patrol experience, preferably two to apply for this position.
Responsible for the preservation and protection of life and property, the prevention of crime, the maintenance of good public order, the enforcement of civil and criminal law and other related duties as required by direction or assignment. Generally works assigned shifts but may be called upon to continue duties on other shifts at times as directed.
This position requires 12 hour rotating shifts, holidays and weekends. Eligible for State Supplemental pay.

100% of Employee Medical, Life, LTD and Vision paid by the Sheriff's Office. Dependent coverage is available with a portion also paid by the Sheriff's Office.
