St. Charles Parish Sheriff's Office is looking for a Graphic Designer that will be responsible for following through on all design projects. In addition to effective conceptualization abilities, strong design skills, and technical expertise, the ideal candidate must be highly collaborative by nature and must have demonstrated strengths in graphics design, project management, and communication.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

1. Must be proficient in CorelDraw Graphics and Adobe Photoshop
2. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and communicating progress effectively to ensure timely delivery of high-quality work.
3. Maintain organized file management and version control practices to facilitate collaboration and streamline workflow efficiency.
4. Machinery used in the shop are as follows: large format Roland solvent printer, laminator, Graphtec vinyl plotter, Epilog Fusion Pro laser etching machine and a CAMaster CNC router.
5. We work with different types of vinyl and hard substrates like plastic, aluminum, wood and acrylic sheeting.
6. Review, proof, edit, revise, and seek feedback on design projects.
7. Must be self-motivated and proactive.
8. Be willing to design and fully finish a job with product ready in hand.
9. Must be able to travel for training purposes.

Minimum Qualifications desired: 

• Associate’s degree or higher in Graphic Design
• At least 1 year of graphic design experience
• Proven work experience as a Graphic Designer or similar role.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and CorelDraw is a must and other design software.
• Strong understanding of typography, color theory, and layout principles.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
