St. Anne's-Belfield is seeking its inaugural Director of Camp Catalyst, Access and Belonging. The director is charged with creating and implementing robust programs, activities, and services that focus on inclusion and academic excellence. Prime among these responsibilities includes launching a new summer access program, Camp Catalyst, that previews and showcases the School's academics, arts, civic engagement, and athletics offerings to mission-aligned prospective families from diverse backgrounds. Reporting to the Assistant Head of School for Enrollment Management and a key member of the Admission team, the director serves a vital liaison role in increasing key constituents' access to the St. Anne's-Belfield community, growing the admission inquiry pipeline, creating opportunities for newly enrolled families to access summer programming, and strengthening retention of current families. Additionally, the director is the chief relationship manager for all families accessing financial aid.
Key ResponsibilitiesUnder the direction of the Assistant Head of School for Enrollment Management develop and implement outreach programs for mission-aligned prospective families from diverse backgrounds.
  • Lead the creation and recruitment of Camp Catalyst and serve as the day-to-day manager during the weeks of the summer program.
  • Design and direct one-time and multi-week programs during the school year to bring prospective families to on-campus programming, especially for K - Grade 8.
  • Serve as the relationship manager for all families exploring and applying for financial aid.
  • Manage budgets related to the implementation of programs.
  • Partner with key members of the Admission, Communications, academic divisions, and Auxiliary Services offices to achieve the School's goals for access and belonging.
  • Serve as a key brand ambassador to current and prospective students, colleagues, leadership-level volunteers, and strategic business partners.
Continue strengthening the School's retention efforts for all students Pre-School through Grade 12, with special sensitivity to cultural, historical, or other individual factors that may impact a current family's sense of belonging within the school community.
  • Coordinate the student, academic, and family programming of the three divisional Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) coordinators.
  • Centralize the school's program and protocol documents related to DEIB.
  • Partner with the academic deans and the Director of Residential Life to coordinate professional learning for colleagues related to DEIB.
  • Along with divisional leadership, serve as a member of our "in-time intervention" teams when student incidents related to restorative education arise.
Desired Qualities And Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience in K-12 schools required.
  • Relevant experience in at least one of these fields: elementary education, curriculum or youth program development, summer camps, event planning, or admissions.
  • DEIB training and experience strongly preferred, especially in restorative practices.
  • A willingness to be trained in financial aid needs' analysis and packaging.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule that includes some weekends and evenings.
