Full Time Activities Aide

(must be able to work Weekends, Holidays, and occasional nights)

Do you enjoy playing games, setting up group activities, visiting one-on-one with residents? Does it give you a sense of purpose and enjoyment when you interact with the elderly? Our Activities Aides host different activities to incite and invigorate the mind, keep the joints moving, and keep the faith alive. We want someone who feels like they can do all that and more!

Plan and lead group activities
Keep daily records documenting resident participation
Transport residents to and from activity programs and group outings
Visit residents on a one-to-one basis as directed by Activities Director for the purpose of providing: friendly visitor, sensory stimulation, reality orientation, validation therapy, individual instruction or specific leisure pursuits and/or a means of meeting individual needs as outlined in each residents Activity Plan of Care
Record and/or maintain a written record of resident’s response and/or progress with specific approaches utilized
Responsible for general housekeeping duties in activity areas
Recognize abnormal signs and symptoms which signify a physical change in condition that would require nursing intervention
Must be alert for conditions that may interfere with the well being and safety of residents involved in activity pursuits
