We are looking for an experienced per diem Cook to join our Dietary Services team. No late nights! You'll be out no later than 7pm! A shift differential is offered on weekends and we will pay you based on your experience and offer you a great work environment with generous benefits, including health, dental, vision, 401K and life insurance along with other fringe benefits.

Prior food service experience is required; ServSafe Certification is strongly preferred. You must be a self-starter, dependable and demonstrate not only outstanding customer service but compassion and patience for the residents you'll serve. It will be your responsibility to ensure that food is prepared, cooked, and served with consideration for residents' individual needs. 

Job Responsibilities

• Review menus prior to preparation of food

• Process diet changes and new diets as received from the nursing supervisor, when necessary

• Prepare and serve meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance

• Prepare food in accordance with sanitary regulations, as well as our established policies and procedures

• Assist in establishing food service production line, etc., to ensure that meals are prepared on time

• Ensure that menus are maintained and filed in accordance with established policies and procedures

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED

• ServSafe Certification (strongly preferred)

• Must possess at least one year’s experience in food service facility, preferably in a long term care setting

• Be dependable

• Must have knowledge of sanitary procedures

• Must be able to read, write and speak English in an understandable manner
