JOB SUMMARY:

St. Andrew’s Episcopal School strives to educate the mind, body, and spirit of children by promoting academic excellence and social responsibility in a small, nurturing environment that values faith, reason, and diversity. We are searching for a dynamic part-time teacher to work collaboratively with the full-time lead teacher to guide and encourage students to develop their character and academic potential. This position is for the 2023-2024 school year, and we currently have openings in Kindergarten and Grade 3.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Support lead teacher for the purpose of assisting in the implementation of the established curriculum.
• Work collaboratively with the full-time lead teacher to prepare and deliver small group instruction.
• Advise parents and/or legal guardians of student progress for the purpose of communicating expectations and student's achievements; develop methods for improvements and/or reinforcing classroom goals in the home environment.
• Manage student behavior for the purpose of providing a safe and optimal learning environment.
• Participate in a variety of meetings and professional development activities for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to improve student achievement.
• Monitor students in a variety of educational environments (e.g., classroom, playground, school grounds, hallways, restrooms, field trips, lunch, etc.) for the purpose of providing a safe and positive learning environment.
• Use relevant technology to support instruction.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development.

Experience and Education:

• Teaching: 3 years (Preferred - but not required)
• Bachelors required

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $19,000.00 - $20,000.00 per year
