District Apizza is hiring Servers / Bartenders / Host / Hostess.

District Apizza is a brand-new concept and restaurant in the evolving and revitalized Railroad District of Norfolk. We hand-craft and serve authentic New Haven Connecticut style pizza and new versions of classic Italian favorites plus great beer wine and cocktails in a unique and lively environment. Our goal is to offer a level of excellence in our food and service exceeding expectations. We have high expectations for ourselves and very simply aspire to be the very best in the area.

We are looking for experienced and enthusiastic servers and bartenders to join our team! If you are dependable, friendly, and motivated then we want to hear from you!

As a server or bartender, you will

• Be able to communicate clearly with guests, managers and team members
• Work calmly and effectively under pressure, in a fast-paced environment
• Know all food and beverage menus in detail and be able to describe each item and ring in accurately.
• Present menu to guests and provide detailed information about portions, ingredients, and potential food allergies
• Take accurate food and drink orders using the Toast POS system
• Serve food and drink items accurately and efficiently.
• Comply with all food and beverage regulations.
• Stay focused and create an excellent guest experience.
• Be a team player
• Exhibit outstanding people skills
• Provide amazing food and stellar service in a comfortable, energetic, and fun but not stuffy environment.
• Have reliable transportation for all scheduled shifts
• Maintain a professional demeanor under pressure
• Ability to manage time efficiently

As the Host(ess), You will

• Greet guests as they arrive and put them on a waiting list as necessary.
• Provide guests with menus and answer any initial questions.
• Engage with guests to ensure they’re happy with food and service.
• Clearly and efficiently communicate with FOH staff and management
• Have knowledge of the menu.
• Receive and record guests’ dining reservations.
• Provide great customer service.
• Accurately take To Go orders and input them into the order system
• Stay focused and create an excellent guest experience.
• Be a team player
• Exhibit outstanding people skills
• Have reliable transportation for all scheduled shifts
• Maintain a professional demeanor under pressure
• Ability to manage time efficiently
