Job Description Software Engineer Location: Waltham, MA Overview: This UI development position requires strong experience in Angular front-end development. You will work closely with our Product team to understand requirements and business specifications around Portfolio Management. In this position, you will work as part of a larger Scrum development team focused on driving innovation across multiple application UIs. You will write Angular, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS code in a Node.JS environment. You will also attend sprint meetings with team members to define and analyze development requirements and provide development work breakdowns and estimates. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with Product Owners and Director of User Experience to develop front end web applications Write complete, tested, performant, and documented Angular, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS Create, enhance, and maintain RESTful APIs using NestJS Collaborate with stakeholders, users, build teams, QA, and other development partners to implement state-of-the-art UIs Participate actively in discussions, presentations and decisions about front end and API development Implement new technologies to maximize application performance Work on bug fixing and improving application performance Competencies and Skills: Bachelor’s Degree (Computer Science or related degree) 2 years of front-end development experience 1 years of Angular development experience Strong JavaScript and TypeScript Angular 2 frameworks Understanding of MEAN application technology stack HTML 5, CSS, Webpack, Babel, NPM AJAX and JSON Bootstrap CSS precompilers (like Sass and LESS) RESTful APIs Git Continuous Integration using Jenkins Knowledge of Docker is desirable but not necessary Knowledge of MongoDB is desirable but not necessary Excellent conceptual and critical thinking capabilities Self-directed and self-motivated with the ability to take charge or play a supporting role Strong understanding of product development Clear written and verbal communications skills (English), including presentation skills Why SS&C?
