Housekeeping Director Opportunity – Join Our Team!

Are you a seasoned professional with a passion for maintaining clean and inviting environments? We are currently seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Manager to supervise and coordinate the activities of our hardworking team. This role involves ensuring the facility's cleanliness and the meticulous care of garments, linens, and other items.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Administrator to create efficient work/cleaning and laundry schedules. Ensure adherence to these schedules as closely as practical.
• Coordinate daily housekeeping/laundry services with other departments to seamlessly execute routine cleaning assignments in resident living and recreational areas.
• Ensure that all areas are maintained in a clean, safe, comfortable, and attractive manner. Provide staff with the necessary training, equipment, and supplies to achieve this standard consistently.
• Oversee staff adherence to appropriate techniques when handling cleaning solutions and in-service all personnel before tasks involving potential exposure to blood, body fluids, or hazardous chemicals.
• Maintain established infection control and universal precautions practices during housekeeping/laundry functions. Coordinate routine/terminal isolation procedures with nursing services.
• Demonstrate sound judgment in decision-making, considering both knowledge and situational factors. Exhibit awareness of personal limitations and seek assistance when necessary.
• Attend and actively participate in scheduled training, educational programs, and orientation classes, including annual mandatory sessions.
• Follow work schedules diligently and complete assigned tasks according to the facility's established standards.
• Conduct daily rounds of the department, ensuring all personnel are fulfilling their work assignments. Collaborate with the Administrator to develop effective rounding schedules.
