Position Summary:

The Assistant Director of Nursing at Atrium Health & Rehab in North County, working in collaboration with the Director of Nursing, plays a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and exceptional customer service to patients and their families. This position is instrumental in fostering positive employee relationships and maintaining a standard of excellence in healthcare services.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Team Development:
    • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to attract and retain top-performing, talented team members.
    • Provide supervision and career coaching to existing team members, fostering a positive and growth-oriented work environment.
  • Performance Management:
    • Assist in the development and implementation of strategies to enhance team performance and achieve organizational goals.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the nursing departments

Qualifications:

  • Leadership Skills
  • The ideal candidate must be a skilled communicator, director, and motivator, capable of inspiring and leading a healthcare team.
  • Able to organize and prioritize multiple tasks effectively, demonstrating strong leadership in a fast-paced environment.
  • Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting, showcasing the ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
  • Must hold a current, unencumbered RN license valid in Missouri, demonstrating a commitment to maintaining professional standards.
  • Stable work history with a demonstrated dedication and commitment to lead our healthcare team in providing exceptional care.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain positive employee relationships, fostering a collaborative and supportive workplace.
  • Ability to follow all applicable policies and procedures, as well as adhere to current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing long-term care facilities.
  • Capable of reacting appropriately to emergency situations, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients and residents.
  • Must be able to effectively relate information concerning a patient/resident’s condition, facilitating clear and concise communication within the healthcare team.
