Location:
Smyrna - 1 (Smyrna, TN)
Summary:
As a Procurement Specialist, you will play a crucial role in our procurement operations, with a focus on maintaining accurate and up-to-date procurement data. Your role will be approximately 80% dedicated to data entry tasks, ensuring all procurement transactions are recorded accurately and timely in our systems. The remaining 20% of your role will involve assisting with various projects within the procurement department, providing you with an opportunity to engage in broader aspects of our operations.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately and efficiently perform data entry tasks, ensuring all procurement-related information is correctly captured in our system.
  • Maintain detailed records of purchases, receipts, and reports.
  • Assist in the maintenance of procurement documentation, including policies, procedures, and templates.
  • Support the procurement team in the sourcing and evaluation of suppliers, as well as in negotiating contracts to achieve favorable terms.
  • Participate in various procurement projects as assigned, which may include market research, cost analysis, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure procurement needs are met in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Monitor and report on supplier performance, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and performance metrics.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience in data entry, procurement, or a similar role.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with procurement software.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
