SRM CONCRETE is Hiring a Paralegal Near Smyrna, TN

Location:

Smyrna - 1 (Smyrna, TN)

Summary:

SRM Concrete is seeking a Paralegal to join our team in Middle Tennessee. The successful candidate will support SRM Concrete’s Legal Department by performing such duties as: establishing, managing, and organizing files through our case management software; monitoring calendars; reviewing and drafting agreements; facilitating business transactions; and other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Full Time Position
This is a full-time position based out of our SRM Home Office located in Smyrna, TN.


Responsibilities

  • Assist the Legal Department in managing internal legal matters and coordinating and communicating with outside counsel
  • Managing and organizing paper files and electronic files using our case management software
  • Complete investigations and fact findings
  • Legal research
  • Assist in preparing legal documents
  • Review and maintain all agreements entered into by the company
  • Maintain and monitor attorney calendars
  • Provide general administrative support
  • Successfully complete special projects and other duties as requested


Required Skills/Abilities

  • General familiarity with real estate matters
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of contacts including outside attorneys, senior management, and business associates
  • Proven ability to work effectively in independent settings
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication (oral and written) skills
  • Anticipate support needs across a variety of legal matters
  • Ability to quickly and efficiently solve problems as they arise.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Familiarity with case management software


Education and Experience

  • Law degree preferred but not required.
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or a paralegal certificate from an ABA approved paralegal program


Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
