SRA Trials, LLC is Hiring a Clinical Research Pharmacy Technician Near Pembroke, FL

SRA Trials, LLC is a privately owned and operated research organization that was established in 2018.

We help volunteers get involved in clinical trials that allow patients to play a more active role in their health care, access new research treatments before they are widely available, and help others by contributing to medical research. Our company works with all major pharmaceutical companies and conducts studies in myriad therapeutic areas.

Primary Job Responsibilities will be but not limited to:

  • Uphold integrity, ethics, and confidentiality according to organizational and industry standards for the conduct of clinical research.
  • Exhibit an understanding of each protocol Pharmacy Manual or Dose Prep Sheet by accurately preparing the investigational drug for dispensation and/or administering vaccine(s).
  • Calculate required volumes and compound investigational parenteral products using aseptic techniques under a sterile environment.
  • Complete the study-related documentation for each dispensation according to established guidelines and industry standards.
  • Demonstrate professional competencies in communicating with the Principal Investigator, study coordinators, and sponsor representatives on protocol-related issues.
  • Demonstrate professional competencies in interacting and communicating with other site staff, sponsors/CRO, and patients.
  • Order, receive, and arrange the storage of study drugs to meet protocol needs and physical storage requirements.
  • Maintained drug accountability in accordance with the study-specific requirements and site SOPs, resolved inventory discrepancies, and quarantined necessary investigational products.
  • Perform the tasks of label preparation and database entry.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of and comply with regulations, policies, and procedures established by local and federal regulatory authorities and the Investigational Drug Service.
  • Demonstrate effectiveness in educating and orienting self to the SRA Pharmacy, medical, and nursing staff as needed for new in-patient protocols.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to quality care in the clinical research setting.
  • Ensure proper security is maintained in the site-dedicated pharmacy by complying with drug storage and entry requirements.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Two (2) years of experience in the pharmacy technician field and clinical research. Maintaining positive and continuous interaction and communication with all internal and external parties involved in clinical trials is essential to the position.
  • Certification/Licensure: Pharmacy Technician Certified and Pharmacy Technician Course, required.
  • Other: Related experience may be substituted for education. Prior experience with research or sponsored programs in an educational environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of position requirements. Knowledge of all applicable requirements, regulations, and laws. Skill in effectively using applicable technology/systems, including Microsoft Office. Ability to effectively communicate verbal and written thoughts, ideas, and facts. Ability to work cooperatively with others and independently. Ability to demonstrate, understand, apply, and adhere to the SRA Core Values of Respect and Integrity, Well-being and Sustainability, Equity and Justice, and Innovation and Discovery.
