Description

Summary:

As host/hostess you are the first impression our guests see when they walk in. You will greet guests as they enter, monitoring the flow of guests, taking names, and giving proper estimated wait-times when necessary. You will show them to their table or waiting area all while exemplifying world class service.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Greet guest as they enter, placing them on a waiting list if needed.
• Provide guest with menus and answer any initial questions.
• Seat guest at tables directing them to our waiting area.
• Assign guest to tables they prefer, while keeping the table rotation in mind so servers receive the right number of patrons.
• Engage with guests to ensure they’re happy with food and service.
• Answer phone calls and answer questions.
• Be knowledgeable of hours, menu items, and directions to facility.
• Help with other positions in the restaurant as needed.
• Provide outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment.
• Other duties assigned.

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

• A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with all restaurant staff.
• Ability to do high-quality of work unsupervised.
• Willing to follow instructions and ask questions for clarification.
• Able to work in a busy environment.
• Be knowledgeable of the daily floor plans.
• Must have Monday-Friday daytime availability or open availability.

Education/Experience:

• Must be at least sixteen years old.
• Previous experience as a host/hostess preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
• Must be able to lift, balance and carry trays or highchairs weighing up to 25 pounds.
