SPS North America, Inc is Hiring a Courier/Delivery Driver Near Santa Clara, CA

Schedule: Typically Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM- 5:00PM

What you will be doing:

  • Safely and reliably travel a predefined courier route via automobile to deliver/pickup mail and parcels throughout the area.
  • Provide records management via paper or electronic system of deliveries or receivables.
  • Ensure company vehicle or well maintained and in good standing.
  • May support the onsite business center, which may include: office supply stocking, copy/print, conference room setup up, pantry inventory, or light facilities, or mail.

What we need from you:

  • 3 year experience in administrative, retail, delivery/mail, office services, or similar.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with the following: scheduling or calendar software, logistics tracking software (experience with BearTracks is a plus), database software, Numbers or Excel, and Pages or Word .
  • Current U.S. state issues driver’s license with good driving record.
  • Material handling skills, including ability to use motorized and manual equipment such as forklifts (in locations where they are needed), pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
  • A positive and professional attitude with a willingness to go above and beyond for our customers.
  • Effective organizational, communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
  • Ability to perform the following types of physical activities: lift up to 50 pounds, push/pull to move equipment, bend/stoop/squat/kneel, and reach above shoulders.
  • To be able to work both independently and in a team setting successfully.
  • The capability to use/learn technology such as: handheld scanners, Adobe/Word, email, professional messaging (Teams, Slack, Google).
  • An ability to be bright, articulate, and neat in appearance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide superior customer service and demonstrate professionalism at all times
  • Perform daily driving courier routes using company vehicle
  • Following all safety and legal expectations associated with driving a vehicle
  • Perform other various support service activities focusing on receiving, sorting and delivering mail and packages
  • Perform other various support service activities focusing on preparing outgoing mail and packages
  • Utilize onsite resources, software and programs to ensure accountability of deliveries
  • Maintain a consistent and flexible schedule to meet the changing needs of the business
  • Handle time sensitive and confidential information, including documents, adhering to all security protocols
  • Handle all inventory management of supplies weekly to include but not limited to; toner, paper, office supplies and misc. items
  • Cross-Train in other service areas if required
  • Perform quality control functions as directed to ensure accuracy
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.
  • Monitor and reply to client communications, including email, in a timely and professional manner
