Description

As the Director of Learning at SPS Commerce, you will play a crucial role in cultivating and promoting a learning culture across our organization. This strategic role is tailored for a professional with over 10 years of experience, including experience in building and leading teams, collaborating across a global organization, and developing learning systems on an organization wide scale. The ideal candidate will bring a depth of experience in team leadership and cross-functional collaboration, with a strong commitment to diversity and inclusivity in learning environments.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Global Learning:

  • Craft and implement a global learning strategy, in alignment with SPS Business Strategy and HR Strategies, tailored to the needs of a diverse workforce.
  • Lead the evolution of our global learning initiatives, ensuring consistency and cultural relevance across different regions.

Team Building and Leadership:

  • Lead and develop a high-performing Learning Team fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
  • Leverage team strengths to create impactful, globally aligned learning solutions.
  • Collaborate with and create a broad learning community across SPS’ technology, sales and customer success’s training teams.

Experiential Learning and Neuroscience Integration:

  • Design experiential learning programs that offer hands-on, practical experiences, enhanced by knowledge in the latest learning methodologies for improved learning outcomes.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in learning approaches to continually refine and optimize learning strategies.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work collaboratively across all levels and departments within the global organization to align learning objectives with business goals.
  • Develop partnerships with leadership to ensure the effective localization of learning programs.
  • Align with Talent Enablement and Organizational Development and Business HR teams to create aligned Enterprise-wide Talent and Organizational Development programs.

Comprehensive Curriculum Development:

  • Oversee the creation of dynamic, engaging, and culturally sensitive learning curriculums for a global, local and remote audience, ensuring accessibility and inclusivity for all employees.
  • Implement assessment tools to evaluate the effectiveness of learning initiatives on a global scale.

Global Learning Systems and Infrastructure:

  • Manage a scalable learning infrastructure that supports the diverse needs of a global workforce.
  • Integrate learning technologies and platforms to enhance accessibility and engagement worldwide.

Budget Management and Resource Allocation:

  • Efficiently manage the global learning and development budget, optimizing resource allocation for maximum impact.

What experience and skills do you need? 

  • Advanced degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
  • Experience building learning strategies in organizations.
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience with significant experience in building and leading teams.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing global learning strategies.
  • Expertise in experiential learning, neuroscience-informed learning methodologies, and cross-cultural learning programs.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management abilities.
