Sprout Social is looking to hire a Senior Financial Systems Administrator to the Corporate IT Team who will ensure our tools and integrations between them are configured, managed, and running efficiently. You will be a dedicated partner for our Finance team with a focus on scalability and collaboration with the larger corporate IT team.

What you'll do

As the Senior Financial Systems Administrator at Sprout, you will develop a deep understanding of Sprout's overall mission and how our multiple Finance, Accounting, Billing, and Integrations, "back office", tooling fits in. You will conduct thorough process reviews and guide the Finance department in gaining overall efficiency within their day to day tasks. We will need an individual who has a general understanding of the compliance and regulatory needs of a publicly-traded business, and has a solid technical foundation. What you'll bring

We are looking for an organized and motivated Senior Financial Systems Admin with experience overseeing Financial tooling and an expert on the NetSuite platform. There is an expectation that all tools and processes are scalable, pristine, and well-documented for your teammates, and you'll use your experience to lift those around you. You will have a strong understanding of basic accounting principles and concepts, along with a deep understanding of core record structure within an ERP system. This role will require someone who is confident and has the ability to make decisions and execute. There will be a focus on building the right functionality in the right order and helping overcome obstacles. You must be highly analytical, diligent, and naturally curious with the ability to improvise and develop creative and collaborative solutions when common approaches fail.

These are the minimum qualifications that our hiring team is looking for in this role:

  • 5 years of experience as a NetSuite system administrator in a publicly traded company while adhering to a strict SOX change management process.
  • A subject matter expert with business acumen, an understanding of core finance processes, quote to cash, record to report, and procure to pay.
  • Experience configuring and enhancing NetSuite Modules, such as Fixed Asset Module, NetSuite Electronic Payment Module, Cash Matching Module.

Additionally, these are the preferred qualifications that would indicate a particularly strong candidate:

  • Experience managing projects independently
  • A clear understanding of the security, scalability, maintainability, and training required for our financial software
  • Hands-on experience with our existing software specifically, Salesforce, Salesforce Billing, and payment providers (such as Recurly or Stripe)
  • An understanding of how credit card gateways are integrated into financial systems.

Within 1 month, you will:

  • Have completed Sprout Social's two-week new hire training and onboarding program alongside other new Sprout team members. In these sessions, you will gain a broad understanding of our products and how your role directly impacts the product, overall organization, and our customers.
  • Documented and created a plan with your manager to set initial priorities, align on expectations for your role, and learn about Sprout's existing toolset.
  • Be immersed in the current tooling and begin to build working relationships with stakeholders throughout our Finance, Billing and Corporate IT teams as well as your co-workers.
  • You have developed an understanding of the Corporate IT project management and development lifecycles.

Within 3 months, you will:

  • You are the go to person on the team for day to day support of financial systems operational tickets.
  • You have evaluated and updated, refined, and improved documentation and processes.
  • You have worked with requesters and stakeholders to produce detailed and effective change requests.
  • Continue to support internal and external audits by gathering evidence and updating/improving documentation
  • Established communication channels with your team to create and prioritize tasks/projects to meet our existing needs/commitments.

Within 6 months, you will:

  • Built connections with members from other teams through active networking and community building.
  • Delivered at least one efficiency gain that reduces the time it takes accounting to close the books each month end
  • Have a review process for incoming requests and have guided solutions to align with our overall architectural and business goals.
  • You are an expert on our internal processes and begin delivering larger change and feature requests to make our teams more efficient.
  • Delivered at least 1 larger initiative from scoping through delivery.
  • Worked and effectively communicated with other groups across the organization to ensure big-picture alignment and cross-team collaboration.
  • Formed a career growth plan with your manager and started work towards it. (may involve certification, conference, or other continuing education)
  • Ensured that processes are well documented and preventative maintenance/measures are designed and implemented

Within 12 months, you will:

  • Have become a go-to expert on our finance tooling and the inbound and outbound integrations
  • Delivered solutions to ensure our systems and tooling stays ahead of and empower our companies growth
  • Improved and maintained the various processes, adapting to changing requirements and ensuring accurate documentation
  • Efficiently deliver day-to-day, with very little support.
  • Identify, advocate and effectively contribute to larger change and feature requests.
  • Have participated in cross-organizational projects, demonstrating project management skills, consensus building, and strong leadership.

Whenever possible, Sprout wants to provide our team with the flexibility to work in the location that makes the most sense for them. Sprout maintains a remote workforce in many places in the United States. If your position requires a physical presence in a Sprout office, it will be evident in the job listing and your offer letter.

The base pay range for this role is $120,000 to $140,000 USD annually. Individual base pay is based on various factors, including relevant experience and skills, the responsibility of the role, and job duties/requirements. In addition to base pay, some Sales and Success roles can earn sales incentives.

Sprout's compensation ranges are intentionally broad to allow for our team members' growth within their role. These ranges were determined by a market-based compensation approach; we used data from trusted third-party compensation sources to set equitable, consistent and competitive ranges. We also evaluate compensation bi-annually, identify any changes in the market and make adjustments to our ranges and existing employee compensation as needed.

Base pay is only one element of an employee's total compensation at Sprout. Every Sprout team member has an opportunity to receive restricted stock units (RSUs) under Sprout's equity plan. Employees (and their dependents) are covered by medical, dental, vision, basic life, accidental death, and dismemberment insurance, and Modern Health (a wellness benefit). Employees are able to enroll in Sprout's company's 401k plan, in which Sprout will match 50% of your contributions up to 6% with a maximum contribution. Sprout offers "Flexible Paid Time Off" and ten paid holidays. We have outlined the various components to an employee's full compensation package to help you to understand our total rewards package.
